The owner is sick of looking for a good home and paying for storage. he is threatening to scrap it next week.
While I don't want to see it die that is the likely home for it as emotions are involved. He paid for it and shipped it from the UK and had lots of work done and many trials and tribulations. He is now in the Navy and lives down east and no storage for it there. I have advertised it high and low but nary a taker. So pn tuesday he and I will meet. I want to buy it but have not even a brass farthing to buy it but its in my care and custody with storage paid until winter. What do I offer him and get a loan for dollar wise? The man is going to feel insulted if I offer him $400 scrap money or less but considering it isn't a runner and i've sat looking after it for a few years . .. $1,500 is what my mate and I came to as a value, cheap enough to make it worth repairing and using and sorting out. I'm really stuck on what to do. Thoughts? R |
