Default Cause of sinking.

The most recent DUKW sinking in Liverpool was caused by a discarded car tyre that was caught up in the propellor. This resulted in the 'V' strut being torn from the hull.

Despite this being a freakish event many are calling for the vehicles to be banned from commercial passenger operation.

According to the latest reports the operating company has gone into administration.
