Kevin,
Interesting picture, where did you find it? Looks like a T16 in SE Asia:

Nice Bren pictures Stephen, where did you find those?
Couple from me. A Scout with some light tanks and some bikes abandoned at Dunkirk for Ron Theres always a steady stream of carrier pictures on eBay but most have a sellers watermark. They can be quite useful but are spoilt a little due to the watermark. Shall we post them on this thread and have a rolling original/period photo thread? it would be a stream of new material...... Hello Ben.
Have picked them up over the years wherever I can find them, some may have appeared in books already but the more we can put out the better. Stephen |

Ive been trying to track a local one down near me that was used on a farm for this and carrying a water tank (strapped to its back!)
Sadly with many it was cut up a few years ago when the scrap prices went sky high over here....!!!! ![]() Whatever possesses people is beyond me!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Apparently it was complete with all tracks, engine and slightly chopped top plating!! And all mine for scrap value and only about 5 miles from me!!!! ![]() I would have towed it home for that by hand...!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'm told that this one is actually on D Day?? The carrier has a James ML on the back. Followed by what looks like a MK2. Ron

Ron, I know that photo ... it is June 6th, in France. I will look for the details.
Is it Lion-sur-Mer? Update ... Ask your chum if he knows this fellow in the mortar carrier with the wading screens. I suspect it is the same carrier from a different perspective, moments apart. Notice the background detail ... the hotel in Hermanville? Is that 41 (RM) Commando? Last edited by Michael R.; 14-06-13 at 21:44. |

Ross it seems there is a Vet who lives not ten miles from me who was in this carrier group. He wants to visit me to be near a carrier again. The in between contact guy has told me they were something like 'Kings Shropshire Light Infantry' or something. I'll find out for sure soon.

Michael, your first picture is interesting from an Aussie, Kiwi view point, in that the bogie wheel rubber appears to have a similar profile to some of our carriers.
I have not seen that before on a riveted carrier wheel.
