Try the "ED's Red" mixture. 50% acetone mixed with 50% ATF fluid.

Common situation on these engines.
Use lots of croil, oil filter strap and PATIENCE!! I worked with mine for over two weeks. Sprayed on, put some force into the strap, gentle tapping with a plastic hammer on the dizzy to times every day. Finaly it came loose. No rust, just old dirt, grease and oil binding it. Try to no destroy the dizzy dataplate if it is present.... ![]() It will come loose...just dont use too much force. Good luck Svenn |

Acetone and ATF is the answer .I couldn't get the handle bars off of my WLC but two days later with this combo and I could take the nut off with hand pliers .The best thing I have used yet .

Svenn - Georgene
Thanks guys, I am happy with all the MLU support and good advice. I am sure we will now win this little stubborn battle. Svenn that is a great little gadget, I haven't seen that before, I am taking a photo of it to the hardware store and see if they can get me one. If not a nice little project to make one. ![]() Cheers Tony ![]()
