Was that set of barns on the farm of a nice retired former Montrealer? Remarkable collection he has isn't it?

Default Finding M100 CDN trailers

I found my trailer by trolling Kijiji with the fol various search terms:

Jeep
-(all the model names that were ever equipped with a hitch like Cherokee, Liberty, Patriot, Commander, etc)
trailer
military
army
surplus
m100
m416

and for Quebec add:
militaire
remorque
armee

Save the seach terms in a text file on your computer so you don't need to retype them each visit. (Unless you can somehow save those terms on Kijiji?) Good luck

Where did all the m100s go? For all that were made and the amount of mv collectors out there, there should be plenty in collectors hands but there are not....

Many went to the US to satisfy the collector market down there. Pretty much all the Saskatchewan ones went South.

Many more have found their way to cottages and farms, where they will live out their life in obscurity.

A number were also either disposed of in operational theaters, or given away as aid to other countries. I recall a few cut up when I was in Cypress.

Default M416 on Kijiji

Not an M100, but a M416 about 50 miles East of Montreal. I've been through that town a hundred times.

Terry: That's a M101 Cdn2. The fenders are similar to a M416, and it has the high/low lunette bracket, but that's where the similarity ends.
