Eric,
I'll have to check my clips and see if there is a stamping number with the size. They seem to be the smaller version that held the forestock of the rifle in CMP trucks. The buttstock rested in a wooden socket. Years ago I saw an MB windshield frame with these clips welded to the windshield frame but just assumed that they were ex-CMP clips welded-on as a field expedient. Maybe they were a factory add-on. Also I did not notice if they were different sizes. Any chance they just bent and widened the CMP "smaller" style? .... Brian |

Hello Brian
No they are different sizes as explained in my previous thread. I am not sure what size Rob is looking for but you might want to get back to him pertaining to the smaller NOS ones that you have in stock. Or i guess Rob can get hold of you. Thanks Eric

Hello and thanks for posting further info.
I am indeed looking for both sizes, for holding the fore and butt sections horizontally, for use in a carrier or jeep as well. I emailed this website; http://www.ww2fabrications.com/britishairborne.htm and they told me that they are reproducing these mounts, however they are currently out of stock, but were hoping to have some more produced in a few weeks. I have attached two photos for examples. Cheers, Rob |
