Hanno,

Not a very exciting example, but the pattern is just visible, top left, on the Tilly canvas in this colour transparency of the then Princess Elizabeth, during her driver training.

Also note the red jack and what appears to be a rigid tool box. The normal leather type is shown in front to the Austin ambulance.

IWM image no TR 2835

Cheers

Paul

Another. It's from somewhere on the forum, but probably originally from one of the Gregg books (?)

Alex

p.s. Hanno....did you closely examine my earlier posting?

A few scans from the book "The Canadia Soldier 1944-1945" by "Histoire & Collections". (great book for the shelf by the way!)

Thanks Alex,

Both for the wartime shots as well as the artist's impression of what my F15A should look like!

Thanks Paul,

Hard to make out the type of camoflage, but it's there. Rest of the Tilly seems to one colour?
Also, the Austin seem to have a darker colour on the lower parts?
