No 15-cwt trucks were factory fitted with a winch; quite a few were retrofitted with one during post-military use. Ties in with the seller's claims it has an "orginal type winch".

Nice truck, hope someone here on MLU snaps it up!

I'm with Hanno, that looks to be a retrofitted winch kit and 2 speed transfer case. It has the Australian made front fairleads and is missing all the other rollers and bits you'd expect to find on a genuine CGT.

The Australian body (with extra sides) makes it desirable.

Absolutely. You could stick it on a Ford and chuck the rest back on ebay!

Default Bargain?

Hooray I can finally post again. *(after 18 months) The gods are smiling

To me that seems ok. At least you can drive it away. Not a lot to do, just drive home & register on Historic plates.

Ian.

Default 15cwt

seems funny that it,s got helper springs and didn,t see two speed shift lever, or winch hand brake and the gap cab to body looks too narrow for toolbox tire carrier if rear body brought up to proper position.
