Stew, Phil, Bob, Jaap,

Thanks for your replies. Phil, terrific! Thanks so much for the measurements and Jaap and Bob for the extra tips and comments. I had some hardwood in the garage, but the wrong size as always, so I will search for some nice oak or ash in the next few weeks.
By the way, were these wooden spacers clamped between the floor and chassis? I mean with bolts going through and through or are the blocks secured to the chassis with the floor than bolted on top?
