Default Small issue with hole alignment.

Hi, Has anyone fitted their anttena mount yet?, both mine wont line up on the carrier mounting holes, the top to bottom hole is correct but from side to side is incorrect, I can see what has happened, top to bottom measured then applied to side to side, but infact this is different. See pics attached.

looks like i will have to weld all the holes up and redrill, but I will need a measurement for the location of one hole, measurement in from the side and top or bottom.

help!

kevin.

If this is what Nigel made, maybe the most diplomatic move would be to ask him via a p.m.
Then if you have no joy, I can give you the info you need.

Lynn, P.M. sent, could you post the dimensions as I need to get the brackets to my welder who is off on holiday for two weeks this coming Thursday, hence the posted question.

I have not forgot about your downpipes.

The centers vertically are 2 1/2"(63.4), and horizontally are 2 3/4"(69.8).
On mine the bump stop side is 12mm to the edge of the plate from the outside edge of the hole. The other side is slightly less at 11mm.
Suggestion; If you are welding them up. Pop your rivets out, put one or two holes in correctly (squaring the bkt to the hull and checking with the holes in your hull) and use the hull as a jig for the others.
Check the hole centers in the hook arm, to make sure it works with these measurements.

Hi Lynn, so one hole is 12mm in from the side to the outside edge of the hole. but how far up from the bottom?,are you measuring from an original?, I am not knocking the rivets out but just offering it up to the mortar carrier, i will clamp to another standard stowage carrier to act as a jig to centre the other three holes as suggested.

many thanks kev.

Yes, mine is original... This is expensive information. (did I just feel the price drop on my pipes then?....I hope it wasn't my imagination)
Note to moderators; We need a blackmail smilie.
Anyhow, NMBS.
The bottom hole centers are about 17mm up from the lower edge. As a check, the top hole centers are about 1/2" (12.5mm) from the center of the bend (which is a bit hard to pick)
Cheers,
Lynn.

Default Aerial Fitted

Hi, I managed yesterday to fit one on Nigels aerials, looks good and it even tilts and latches, just got to find some suitable rubber for the bump stop. Well done Nigel and thanks for the time and effort on reproducing these.
