Thanks Cliff. I'll try and make it to the sale. If it looks like the trailers in the above photos I'll have a crack at it. It's listed as an old mcgrath farm trailer.

I think it was one of the vehicles that accompanied the early Land Rover Ambulance trials - the trip through Qld and central Australia, early 1960s.

Yep, the 1960-61 trials in northern and central Australia: you can see the Leyland FV1119(A) heavy recovery tractor in the background (but Australia purchased the much better M543 wrecker instead).

The Inter was termed a 'Truck, Semitrailer, IHC, Experimental'. The design didn't get beyond the experimental. This was the second set of Outback trails for the L/R Ambulance: the first they were pretty much on their own, just the two prototypes.
