If you turn the two drive dogs in a clockwise rotation and the output for the cable turns anti clock. Then it will probably be for a Matchless G3L (rear wheel) The only other bike I can think of that used that type of drive, in WW2 would be BSA's M20 and WC10. It doesn't look like a BSA drive to me. I believe this to be from the Triumph 500 as it came with other TRW parts at the same time. All other parts gone.

Axle hole looked small for an M20 to me as well but wanted to double check as I might need one later in the year if the one I have turns out to be bad.
