Andy,
Yes the 73mm gun is deactivated, but did not need to be to come into the country. FA issued a import permit with the gun listed seperately, imported as a non restricted firearm. Just had to forward a copy of my PAL to Ottawa to finish the import paperwork. The European countries is was transported through required the gun to be deactivated. I do have power turret traverse, but have not yet figured out the power elevation ( I have it powered up, but can not figure out how to retract the travel lock ). Intercom, IR, and gunners sight all work beautifully.

Page 56 of the Tuesday 27 Dec 2011 edition shows one of these vehicles (or a variant) in the Syrian city of Homs.

Default Some fun with Perry's BMP

A few MLUers and like minded folks had a chance to see and enjoy Perry's BMP over the weekend thanks to Perry and Gord Yeo's hospitality. The Petrolia crew came up along with Stewart Loy, Tim G and myself. We had a chance for a little joyride with Perry and see Gord's great workmanship on a variety of Iltii, jeeps etc and a nice lunch with old friends...what better way to spend a Saturday. Thanks Perry and Gord.

Default nice toy

Very nice purchase. Looks incredible!

If you ever tire of it please call and give us (I really mean me) a chance to keep it in Canada.
Beautiful piece, nice job in getting it here.

Default More Pics from last weekend

Here are a few more pics from last weekend. There are more but for some reason they won't load. If anyone knows their way around a Mac maybe you can guide me so I can post a few more.

J.P.

It isn't the Mac that's the problem. It's the "Having Too Much Fun" filter on MLU that wont let the pictures post.
