Hi Lynn, Kevin and all

I'd love to answer Kevin regarding post 140 but I can't. I don't know. I do have photos, maybe some measurements but nothing more than what has been posted already.

Lynn, I think you are the best to answer. Sorry to through you in the deep end but you have originals. Not even the gentleman I borrowed from to copy what I supply had all the bits. I only copied what I could hold in my hands. No guess work. Copied as per sample.

Sorry mate. I'll pass that one back to you.

Nigel

O.K. Nigel. I thought i'd measured it all up for you in detail and sent it to you.
I will do it again and post it on the forum, when I can get to it.

Hi Lynn
I just went through my email folder of your emails and the only info on measurements you sent to me were of the little bump stop for the pogo stick and one of a steel rule beside the big spring for the aerial base which you have posted on MLU. You may have measured up for someone else perhaps?
I did take some measurements of bits when I visited you but the camera/operator was faulty and they are not clear.

I'll have a look in my paper folders tonight, I may have overlooked something.

Nigel

Default Spring / Eye bolt info.

O.K. As I seem to be the only one in the world, who will front up with the info.
I will do so, but Kevin, as you buy up Canada's stock of carrier bits, you are expected to help me find a good canadian steering wheel.

Here are some specs;

Eye bolt. TL12685.
Overall length 118.5mm.
Thread length 83mm.
Thread 1/2" BSF.
Eye O.D. 25.4mm.
Eye I.D. 13mm.

Hull bracket TL 12649. (FMCo 41)
Length 78mm.
Cut from 1.0 x 1 1/2" (25.4 x 38 x 5) unequal angle. (thats 5mm thick)
The holes are 10mm dia. at 2.0" (51mm) centers.

The Spring. It has F.M.Co T.L.6xxx-xx in one hook (x = undecipherable)
Wire dia. 5mm.
spring length 260mm. (not including the hooks)
effective length. 300mm. (to inside of both hooks)
Hook wire dia. 7.5mm.
dia. of spring. 25.4mm.
hook circle. 28.mm. (its not exactly a circle the end is straight.
In case its not obvious, the hooks are separate pieces.

If you dont have a spare steering wheel, and you need more info, feel free to ask. I'll let you know if I think its a dumb question. (there aren't any dumb questions)
Except maybe this one. Richard, Where might I be expected to go to get a 3D scan done? (If I was in the U.K, i'd go to Ben)
Photos to follow.

Default Antenna Spring.

Hi, Just made a couple of springs for the antenna used e-bay spring item number 200662681500 at £5.00 each, i was lucky to get some springs from work which had the correct type 360 degree swivel ends which I removed and attached to these springs. I had a quote from 'small quantity springs' but the guy tried to up the price once he had the original in his hand, wanted £60a spring.................I asked politely for it to be returned.

I can now return all the original parts to Canada, I am making two more for Nigel but then I wont have any more of those ends left, but anyone can make these springs they are straight forward to make with a pair of mole grips to form the 'barrel ends'.

kevin.

Ron, Lynn.

Perhaps we could talk Lynn into sending that part over to the uk for us to copy, I am sure we could make it worth his while.

Lets us know if this is possible, all costs covered of course.

kevin.
