Default "H" and "W" suffixes

Thanks Hanno, but you know a lot more than I do! Please do not be too modest.

I am trying to remember whether "H" or "W" stood for "Winch-equpped", and ["H"?] "non-Winch". The information I have that was handed down to me was that the C291QH was a F-GT chassis for the RE for India. The C291QR would in theory be the right-hand drive 1942 rear-engined chassis....these were then bodied in say Bombay?

We have still not resolved thre query about:
S/M 6337 Ford Model Number C291Q.L.-1
S/M 6389 Ford Model Number C291WQ / C291Q.L-W E.g. # 5G-420-F 11/1945

which were based on the F15A chassis...did we agree that the "W" related to "Winch"?
