David, it would be my pleasure to meet you and your wife. My input into this forum is nowhere near what you as an Automotive and Military Historian are digging up from archives. All I know is what the late Peter Ford told me: "...C291QR RE vehicles being sent to India in 1943 - I don't know what the R types were".
