Look at what I found
While cruising a local auction I came upon some military pennants....and some spent, blank 105 mm shells....
I have an idea the pennants.... 12 of them might make it to the Hammond Barn....as for the blank shells..... they sure have a nice ring to them.

New (to me) found items

I believe you may have hit it on the head. The obits would go back a few years because the estate was for the wife who deceased some time ago. Now, apparently the valuable pieces had been held back. The family did not want to chance it at auction. So...... there is work to be done. I know of a 105 mm shell casing...brass... approx 20 inches long...empty that was sold. The buyer told me I could have it as he had bought it on a whim. I just do not know what it is worth. It was nice and shiny and did not appear to have any dents or cuts..... Long ways....
Guy lives at thened of a long country road..... may take a while for the web signal to get to him.......
..... then he has to fire up the steam boiler to make enough electricity to be able to reply...... BoB .... I live at the other end of the same road.....
