1) Vet as in WW2 vet (in reference to my dad tho he didn't serve overseas... bad feet... hisbrothersandsister did though, but Dad did serve in Sargeants capacity here in Canada, doing what? I haven't a clue YET)
2) Dottir as in CORRECT ... Islandic/Icelandic daughter ... my daddy was a Jonasson ... connected to one Governor of Island ...Hafsteinn Jonasson ... dad's middle name is Hafsteinn, named after that Gov. Another close relative to my grand father "Joi", I call Syggy - Sygtriggur Jonasson brought the first Islandic settlers here to settle New Iceland. Or so the stories go
Syggy is referred to as "The Father of New Iceland" Or so the stories go. Cool stories.
Another cool story ... my youngest daughter is related to another "Father of" ... but this guy is known as "The Fatha of the Blues" ... WC Handy hisself. Digging in the family roots cellars can sure bring up some neatold roots, eh?
