Mark, it helps enormously as I think you just proved my thesis! Whereas the Belgian types did have fixed sides, some with rear facing seats (see pics here), as far as I can tell the Vickers Utility Tractors in your pictures are the KNIL-type with their typical sideways-facing troop seats (referred to as "rear seats" in your captions):
