Jason
I needed to build one for my first 12 cab Ford CMP. I aquired M37 inner frames, similar to 2-1/2 ton etc M series like you have. I made a simple 3/4" plywood jig /template using an original frame on loan. I simply place the frame on the piece of plywood and used a bunch of strategically placed woodscrews to locate the corners, angles etc. I cut and fit the M series frame work into place and when I was happy I tack welded the pieces. With a fragile frame constructed, I removed it and had a friend TIG weld all the seams for me. The M series frames require some mods like removing the brackets, rivets etc but make an excellent choice. BTW, I had to construct the center part of the frame from some flatbar and appropriate machine screws. I went to an auto glass place to have the glass put in.
