Default Irony

The irony is it appears to have nothing to do with either the age of the aircraft or maintenance, just one of those pilot error things.

Very impressive save for the Skyraider - what a massive amount of damage to the wing.

seems the skyarider pilot was the error,on another forum someone said it was a French pilot

Marc, thanks for posting the link, finally saw this video (I usually do not watch crash vids) as it came up in discussion. For those with a similar attitude, this is well worth watching (second vid. down) as it has some terrific aircraft in it, and surprisingly an Ex Aussie Kittyhawk "Little Genie" is shown taxiing for take off.
We had the privelge of a private air show in Wangaratta with this aircraft a few years ago, we were even allowed to play in it. A very special day indeed, which resulted in one of my favourite photos.
