Default Carrier

Hi Mick and welcome to MLU.

Please tell us more about yourself and project. What is the hull number? Where are you located?

I'm sure there are plenty of experts here ready and willing to assist.

I purchased a hull of LP2A carrier no 1902 locally. It's a stripped hull and now i need all the parts. If anyone has detailed drawings of the armour for the LP2A I would be very interested. Info on the engine, gearbox, diff and anything else really would be an advantage as well.
thanks
Mick

Default Re. Carrier #1902

Hi Mick - your Carrier should be a 1941/42 Ford LP2 that had the engine numbered A19UC-110 and built under contract MON.62. It had a truck type clutch instead of usual heavy duty bus-type clutch. There should be an image of it on my website

Default Carrier Manuals

G'day Mick

I have a spare copy of the Spare Parts Catalogue. It is one of the 3 or 4 manuals from the 1940's on the local pattern carriers. It is quite comprehensive and has a breakdown of all the major components. PM me if you are interested. The other manuals are the Workshop Manual and the Instruction Book - Driver.
There is also a List of Spare Parts but page 13 is missing. Everyone I have spoken to at swap meets about it have the same page missing but maybe someone else on the forum may have a copy of the mythical page.

Cheers

Default Page 13

Hi all - when I find this elusive page I will sell it for $100 per copy. Seriously though, this manual popped up a few years ago as a photocopy. Exhaustive searching on my part has never uncovered an original that would show its full printing details.
