Looking forward to learning more about carriers, as there is so much experience and knowledge here!

I hope these links work,I have many more pics, but chose the most revealing ones.
Hi Dave ..
Welcome to the forum..You are in the right place..
I noticed a yellow arrow pointing to a cap on the front plate..That is an access hole for the engine crank..a long one..that goes into a notched pulley on the end of the engine crank, shown in picture #Viewing 10 of 68..It should have a threaded brass cap on it...
I'm pretty sure ..I'm going from memory on that but some one will know..
Anyway it looks good..

Hi again,Richard,yes,it's the same one.
Alex, thanks for the comments. I did not know they were brass. It took a while, but I know a couple guys near me who restored a carrier and they filled me in on what the fitting is for.Seemed very odd to me at first!
I think George's thread below this one deals with the brass cap?
Indeed, lots of armor missing. At least most of that is flat and square, but still lots of work.
Thanks for the comments, guys, and I will keep you all posted on my progress and who knows, maybe I can help someone else at some time.

Default Dave

The cap is steel. The large box is original kit. Good project.
