I was asked if they could use my carrier for the film (1995) but seening as i had just started a new posting i would not let it go. my mate sent his (the one that was on milweb just before christmas). They were painted sand by the film company and then back to green after they had been finished, he was appauled by the paint finish when it came back to him. It was so bad he put it at the back of the shed and left it there in shame.
My carrier "Puddle Jumper" was used in "D-Day to Berlin" along with my another mates one "Windy".
If you watch the film "the way ahead" they push very realistic wooden carriers and wooden Dingos over the side of a sinking ship. There is a really brilliant film with Arthur Askey in ( i cant remember what it was called)where he is a carrier crewman, all sing and servicing early carriers. then there is the start of a "Canterbury tale" with carrier tearing through the country side and attacking a horse and cart. ok so its off to you tube !

not to be too critical but......... that light stone appears to be the wrong shade (if it is meant to be 1940's light stone) ...unless its actually desert ZI pink in which case its spot on : i would love for my carrier to get used in a film but would have to specify i drove it and had a cameo part in the movie now that we have more carriers in use here it would be nice for HBO to do a band of brothers type affair about other commonwealth forces other than the US of A all the time.
