Default Inspiration

Congratulations!!! The thoroughness and attention to detail are truly an inspiration. When I get frustrated with my progress, (lack of it) I read your thread in it's entirety and find new momentum, and motivation. Thank you for this outstanding story, it is by far my favorite restoration thread. I look forward to seeing more photos, especially when you finish the back of the van box.

Default Great Work - Now a new thread to start may be?

Hi Jaap

I've watched with interest and appreciation your progress on this restoration. It goes almost without saying great work. Whats next equipping of the box?

Your 2 1/2 year restoration process has been a speedy one given the detailed nature of the work you have done.

Now as a continuation of this thread or as a new one, please keep us posted on your travels with the Chev I would love to see its travels. Drive and enjoy your prize.

Cheers Phil

Congrats Jaap!!!

I love to hear more about your experiences with getting the truck registered as I will have to go through the same procedure in the future and the rumours of new Dutch rules scare me...

Keep up the good work!

Alex

Jaap,

Congrats on getting her to the running & registered phase! That will give you a much needed reward to finish off the details.

Default a new year ahead to do more restoration work

first of all best wisches to everybody and a good 2011.

now I am back from holyday it's time for some more work on the truck.
to start I begin with the table that comes to the outside of the body.
the table was complete but rusted so this took some work after this I had to meassure for the right place were the table had to come.
it took some fiddling to get the table to work right and not get stuck when it is folded up. the next thing to do are the airvents on the roof, but this next time.
cheers jaap
