Default My little "Willy"

Morning everyone, I stopped my normal resto for a few days to make my son a xmas willy. It will be pedal powered and I'll make a trailer as well.
Train them young!

Phew, the title had me worried there for a moment!

OUTSTANDING work, and what a lucky young chap he will be on Christmas day.

Colin

Who's got a little Willy then. No seriously the Little Willy Jeep looks great and will make a young person very happy, I know I would have loved such a toy when I was a boy. Good luck with the project please keep the photos of the project coming for us to drool over.

Cheers

Little Jo

G'day All, Mate that looks fantastic, reminds me of when I was very young and we used to see on the back pages of American comics the WW2 tanks (toys that you could ride in) that were available in the USA I think from memory around $40.00US at the time, gee we used to waste a lot of time looking at those tanks and saying that we wished we lived in America, can't wait to see some pix of it finished and the look on the childs face on the 25th, London to a brick he will have a S.E.G cheers Dennis

Keith, it will be quite heavy but he should be able to hand it down to his grandson. It does pedal very easy though!

Outstanding work Colin

You could probably go into production prior to the holidays next year and make a killing with the jeep enthusiasts. Course the Stitch Nazis won't buy one cause you have the wrong makings on the head bolts

Hey Colin

If you did an electric version I would order one for myself, nice wheels to get around at airshows, etc. lol It looks amazing and your son should love it.

Default Little Willy Jeep

Colin

You have done yourself proud and for one little boy the best Christmas present ever. Great workmanship,I suggest you "Patent" it before some enterprising person in a foreign country is thinking of Xmas next year.

Fantastic work.

Default This one is electric!

Hi Guy's,

A Friend of mine copied my GPW for his son and he installed an electric motor in it. Unfortunately young kids grow fast and he does no longer really fit in the Jeep. The Jeeps featured in a television program on Dutch telly.

Have a look at the pics

Default Colin,

I believe it took him some six months to build. Not full time but on and off. He restores classic cars for a living and has no problems with making a new fender or door panel. I have seen work that looked better than new coming from his hands. A true old fashioned craftsman. I wish I had half his talent/skill with sheet metal.

But your Jeep looks good too! Your son will be thrilled.

I suddenly remembered a Jeep I saw at Beltring a couple of years ago. Hang on, looking for pics..........

Found them! This took the builder more than a year if I remember correctly.
