Default One that got away

I guess most people have a vehicle or two that they saw and studied but never bought. Or one that they travelled past on a regular basis thinking they would always have time later on to make an offer. But if we are not careful sometimes these vehicles can vanish on us, or be snapped up by others on the hunt without our knowledge.
Here is one Chev Blitz that did that to me.
I was lucky enough to take photos of it before it disappeared. I believe it was sold, to whom I do not know.
This was originally an Elliots crane in Geelong I believe. Before being sold onto a scrap metal merchant who used this, as well as others, in his business for several decades. It then sat idle in a yard in Geelong for years and for years I drove past it. One day I contacted the owner and discovered it was actually for sale. So I drove down and took these photos. The owner was talking big dollars at the time so my interest fell away.
I do not know what it eventually sold for but it was gone within six months after my visit.
A great looking truck and one that got away.

Default Roy Batty

Looks like there was another ending to the movie "Bladerunner"...
Second name down: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ner_characters

Back on topic: Hopefully, some mil vehicle nut got the truck. It is not uncommon for trucks from one jurisdiction (e.g. southern Ontario) to show up in another jurisdiction (Hammond). Money talks, etc...
