These sorts of things are fairly carefully briefed. In the last shot where the Boomerang lands overhead Matt Denning, the pilot planned a short landing near the beginning of the strip which meant I had to set the camera rolling and walk to one side, but the instruction for the low pass was "Just don't hit me". It's quite an exciting sight and sound. On the takeoff Matt deliberately held her down to build speed before zooming skyward. I have just added another short clip, this one is silent. I shot it at dusk from the back seat of a Harvard and it shows the only two airworthy Boomerangs in the world flying together for the first time from the Temora Aviation Museum.
