For those coming to the Ottawa area or already in the Ottawa area there is a group OF MVers who get together every once in a while. Correction there are several groups of MVers who get together.
There is an Iltis Group, a CMP group and a mixed lot. If you guys wish to hook up send me an e-mail at cmpmagazine@hotmail.com and i will keep you in the loop. One of the guys here has ordered paint from Army Jeep parts, Gillespi paint 36.00 US a gallon and it can be shipped into Canada. Brian Asbury has paint as well as a few vendors in Canada as well. There are vendors in Ontario who have tires, Brian Asbury, Ralph Journeay ( Niagara Military Vehicle Parts), Willys Acres. Willys Acres is the only one on line. E-mail me if you have questions and i can call you back. You can get used tires from the US at Dobson Auto Wreckers south of Watertown on M151 rims. But these are used and have been sitting outside. Stay away from used Goodyears as they crack quicker than the other brand names, even if they look newer. I have bought some a few years ago but now with the age and time sitting outside it might be better to buy new rubber rather than used. Thanks Eric

If it looks like it would hold a 14" long 1-3/4 inch diameter tube onto 2 rubberized clips, then that is the mount for the old C1 sub machine gun. This was a Canadianised (read cheapened and simplified) version of the British sterling SMG.
