IO came across these pages while trolling files at the Archives. I am almost embarrassed to post them as the actual colour chips will not be identical once posted. This is because of the effects of the camera and the viewers' monitor. Nonetheless, here they are;



I will try to get a Pantone chart and match the actual colour to a Pantone number. This will allow for an almost identical match.

No embarassment neccesary, any evidence such as this on the colours is welcome, as there is not many original colour chips about.

Gradually post -WW2 the colours from BS 987 was absorbed into BS 381 and renumbered and given a name- it is widely believed SCC2 became BS 381 colour 499 Service Brown
