Sorry - away again
Only just seen this Micheal........very very interesting!
It is, in fact different from the Badge we picked for Howards and my truck's. The Badge we have has FORD V8 on it and not in the Ford script. We identified it from a picture in Blueprint to Victory. The picture is of a young soldier wearing a British Helmet painting his girlfriends name on his truck. The badge can be clearly seen on the bonnet. This opens up some potentially interesting discussion about the bonnet badges I would have thought. Can anyone shed some light on the Ford bonnet badges?????????

This is the correct badge as I know it as well. On all the cab 11 & 12 wrecks I have seen the badge (when present) was always this type. The script type that Michael has posted I have never seen before on a CMP.

It looks like the script badge found on the dash of Ford Commercial trucks from '39--'42 and Marmon-Harringtons.

Badge
The square one (also found as a boot emblem) is the correct one for a Ford cab 11/12.
It is available as a reproduction item from Macs Auto in the US (along with quite a few other repro gems such as brake and clutch pedal pads and horn buttons).
