Hi Mark,
Thank you for replying to my query. The badge I have is very similar. Thanks to my technically minded son I now have an image attached (I hope) for you to see. There are slight differences but as you can see they are very much alike.

Forgive my ignorance but what is "General Service"? My husband seems to think it may have been something like a purchaser of ammunition or something similar. I'm also wondering whether such personnel would have been in England during WWII? I know we had Canadian Soldiers and the RCAF here during that time.
