OK you Guys.
Bad earth. Took starter off cleaned and greased. The starter is the mechanic kind when you pull the starting lever it moves the dog back and engages with fly wheel. Put it back on today , cleaned all the earths. She started like a dream. Many thanks for the comments. Barry MKII
