Hi All ,
Thanks for all the info , I have found one that fits fine , it is 8" OD , 5-1/2" tall , the thread on the center pin is 3/16 unf whereas the 9" OD filter has a 1/4 " unc thread . Regards Jim

Never before...
Interesting Phil...... I have never seen such a mod to a Carter carb.... or even seen it mentioned in a book...... I bewtter stop just looking at pictures and start reading......
