Default A Corowa special offer

This year I'm bundling all previous DVDs into one lot - that's 6 DVDs for $120 and have prepared a flyer. This will be available at the event - either see me or someone at the official HQ. The new DVD is the seventh and is available individually.

Hi Mark

They're standard PAL DVD. There are two reasons for this - one is most people still don't have the capacity to play Blu-ray disks (and we don't have the equipment to do so either) - it's a demand thing.
The other reason is the second camera we're still using is widescreen standard definition.

The DVD being shot for this year is the same situation.

In the past I have also made some NTSC versions but with demand for these being miniscule it is not a viable option, although having said that the next one focusing on Jeeps may have a wider appeal.

Thanks Robert, glad you enjoyed it!

This year's has PLENTY of fun action - It may have been Year of the Jeep officially, but it was also Year of the breakdown with the more serious trouble occurring with Blitzes than Jeeps. It could also have been known as Year of the mud puddle with all the rain which fell at the beginning of the week. I didn't get there until Wednesday evening but Andrew McIntosh was there early with his camera and has kindly let me load his footage of the wet and how a Dodge Weapons Carrier can handle almost anything!

Default Corowa

What a gr8 weekend I had. Thank you to the organizers I don't know how you do it so well with that many vehicles.
I found some bits at the swapmeet I have been looking for for ages, caught up with some MLU friends and even some long lost relations. Also checked out my favourite duck shooting spot for next weekend and the wineries on the way home. Does life get any better than that? Heres the link to some of my pictures. As you can see I was doing a survey of Chev rear view mounting positions.

Can anyone help with these requests?

Names of people who attended from overseas, where they live and their connection with military vehicles.

Information on breakdowns which occurred. There were some which occurred while on the way to Corowa, others occurred at Corowa and there are bound to be some breakdowns on the way home.

I am doing a report for some overseas magazines, newsletters etc and if you have anything else of interest please let me know. Feel free to post on the forum or send me an email. kveinc@optusnet.com.au

Default The thrill of Corowa

We arrived on the Tuesday with our dodge truck with the C15A on the tray and caravan behind - also one flat tyre. The time there was absolutely fantastic and enjoyed very much. A big thanks to all who helped organise the event. It is something to be very proud of.

Our trip home was eventfull. We needed a new tyre for the truck at Seymour and 9 kms out of Seymour the dodge backfired and stopped half way up a hill and on a corner (panic broke out) The battery died and then we swapped the battery from the blitz and thankfully the dodge started again. Thank heavens for the blitz!!! We arrived home at 7.30 after 530 kms from Corowa. Looking forard to next year. Today is a day of rest.

Great week, as expected. I felt a bit naked not having a vehicle there, but have decided to have the vickers light tank ready for next year as it does fit the theme. Thanks to all the organizers for their great effort.

Default Great Event - Great People

Hi all

Just thought I'd let all who might want to know, I got home safely.

Then what would you expect from a Cab 12 that has a Ford V8 spinning like a top in it.

I'm understanding the old girl a lot better now and she is responding in kind. Even got the heel-toe on 4th to 3rd Down shift going.....gearbox & engine respond as smooth as silk.

Corowa is a very different event when you bring your own vehicle. Not to mention you feel like youve made a significant contribution to the richness of the event.

One hiccup on the way home - one of the Brass screws located at the front of the bowl in the Carbie came lose and fell out. You could tell instantly as the truck instantly smelt like a fuel tanker.

Oh dear..... this occured at Howlong......what a dreadful place to stop. A quick refit of the screw interrupted by a few Latte's under the big London Plane trees and I was off again.

No further incidents other than some fuel filters at Lockhart. Had a great yarn to the guys at Billabong Motors and a good coffee.

To all those I met and spoke to a Corowa..... a huge thankyou for your company & conversation. I just wish we could have a 6 month event in the middle.

Oh! and a few photos of course
