Item No 260504998841

A bit of a rarity Downunder. Would this have seen Aust service (RAAF? AWC?) or is it more likely to be a US left-behind?

Yes, I believe so. These were quite common here in Queensland with local councils in the 50's and early 60's.

RAAF and Coastal Defence works used a few of them. Photo below is from the AWM

These are for the smaller 3 1/16" bore and won't suit a Blitz or LP Carrier, but a good price nonetheless.
