LOOK OUT, MAX!!!
This is how they've found out where all the good stuff is!

Once the weary travellers have discovered your secret cache, do you knock 'em out with this stuff and put them on the first train back South?

Default The "MAX FACTOR" at work

Yes Tony besides another play on products in the tittle of this reply here is the truth.

The border raider arrives looking for bits he is provided with a few glasses of Max along with some friendly banter, soon he is devulging all we need to know to undertake a border raid on the raider. The bush telegraph gets us mobilised and we strike hard we store the booty in tunnels up the back of

Default cab 12 centre of Australia

Yes Yass is the home for any unwanted or lost cab 12's.

While at Yass they are well looked after and if they are in need of any attention or feeling a bit low I get my hospital brandy and sit with them and console them for a while, until that rusty comes along and drinks the lot.

Bob don't forget my love of sponge cakes with cream when you next come (home cooked of course).

Thought you'd have a little arty fun at my expense while you thought I was without access!

This is one beautiful cab 12 - everything seems to be unworn - she towed very well, no play in steering at all, no wear even on the brake and clutch pedals... although a few bits missing as well as a mod to keep the roof on once the timber gave way which will need to be repaired, as well as a seized engine.

My extreme thanks to Robert for his assistance in the Patrol - I have new respect for them given the potentially hairy descent from the hills where the truck was located - down a steep rocky track. I had the truck in gear with my foot on the clutch in case it started to push the Patrol sideways. The handbrake on the F60L still functions perfectly.

Robert beat me to it with the 'top of the world' post. Here's another...

Default A couple more pics

Another on top of the world...

And the former resting place.

The truck has been painted deep bronze green which indicates post-war service which is unusual for a cab 12. Quite possibly it had a specialist body such as a workshop fitted. Once I find an ARN this should be relatively simple to establish.

The tyres are 11.00-20 Chevron pattern - not the originals but they look the part despite being a bit brittle.

I think Keith was hoping to slip it into the carport after Swiss Chris's truck has left in a hope that Belinda wont notice the difference.
