First the engine in the truck you are looking at is probably 1960s or later vintage and not the original 216 stove bolt there are a lot of very noticeable differences.

Over the years there have been many photos posted on MLU showing the type of Chevy truck you are looking for, hopefully some of the regulars will give hints on topic or threads to search.

If you are a stickler for authenticity I would stick to archive photos and photos such as on MLU of pictures taken in the desert of actual relics. As far as I am aware there is only one actual LDRG known to exist and that is in the British War Museum. http://www.canadianmilitarypattern.com/IMW.html for photo All the others are recreations, though some of these are well researched.

There also some online manual sources that might be of help which provide the manuals for Chevy trucks of Late 30s and early 40s one of these is http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/#year (though that site has mostly US manuals, and there are some differences to Canadian built trucks of the period.)
