Default what box are you think of installing....

Nice find Paul.....

what kind of box are you contemplating..... a 2B1 or an earlier wooden one..?

We have two rusted but complete 2B1 in Ottawa..... typically too rusted to be repaired.... but are seriously contemplating using them as patterns for building at least one..... found a willing fabricator for the heavy and large bending that can handle both the overall isze of the head panel and tailgate.

One outstanding issue will be to reproduce the little brass male, capstan shaped, studs that are affixed with 3 rivets to the side.... intended to hold the leather straps for the canvas cover on earlier models.

Once we get one box done, we will have all the dimensions duly recorded.

Default Engine number for David Hayward

Hello David,
I just checked the data plate on my truck and the engine number matches the registration. This would indicate that the engine number of 2789696 is correct for my truck. I wonder why the serial numbers would be so far apart on two trucks, yet the engine numbers are so close?

Default Engine # v Serial #

I can only suggest that these engines, ex-Windsor Plant, being TRUCK and RIGHT HAND DRIVE, and ARMY (TRA prefix) were stored and used specifically. In these early days anyway.

Default Early #11 Cab

I stopped at David Pope's as I needed a the right front hanger for my #11 spring .We notice that there was different kinds .The shape was different where the pin went through .The #11 had a lip on the out side and the # 13 was flat across .You would not notice this if you could not see other trucks .to compare with .
