Default Kittens

This may sound ridiculous, but this afternoon Sally and I went to a garage sale - bought quite a few things for a great price (unfortunately none of them military, but that's the way it goes) - and stumbled across a bin full of kittens taken in by the garage sale people. These are mixed gray male and female tabbys, fluffy with blue kitten-eyes, and seem to be healthy... the bottom line is that we have reserved two for our increasingly cat-dominated household (Gizmo needs playmates ) but there are three left. If anyone in the GTA wants what is now a six-week old kitten - three will be available in a couple of weeks, at age 8 - please contact me ASAP. I will act as the go-between. They are cute as buttons!

Jif

PS: These are to be given as pets, not food, fodder or moving targets...

Bob! (Maybe) free kittens! They are in TO, and if you want, you can bring the trailer!

My work here is done...

I'm sure these wee puffballs would be much happier riding in Bob's lap rather than in the trailer, Rob...

Geoff, No doubt that the kittens would find this more to their liking. But our Bob is prone to distraction. So if he is driving, I recommend at least two ratcheting tie-downs per kitten. The users of the 401 would be deeply appreciative...or he could just let Joyce drive...

Rob,

I'm sure Bob doesn't want to be reminded of the perils of creeping old age, so we shan't... but perhaps Joyce would be a viable alternative for a driver. Of course, if she did drive all the way here and back, that would probably mean Bob would have to ride in the trailer anyway (for her sanity), so therefore we're back to Square One again, aren't we...

Actually (as you know) we are cat-friendly and have a titfer here - the second one succumbed to a brown snake.

Perhaps you can wrap one in bubble and gaffer tape and post sea mail to Aussie.

Time Jif got another CMP to return him to complete sanity.

C'mon Jif, we Aussies and Kiwis (with a few Northern Hemisphere exceptions) can't always be the ones discovering and rescuing CMPs all the time can we?

Good gawd... right now I have nowhere to work on one even if I had it! If I'd had the money, I'd have bought Skagfeld's in a flash (and apropos of nothing whatsoever, mebbe border-raided Churcher's yard for a certain C15TA to-boot... ), but the fact remains, YOU upside-down chaps have most of our good stuff, so piss-off!! I'll settle for collecting kittehs for now...

PS: When these two arrive, it'll make five in our Toronto paradise, so there!

Hanno - Yes, ok, I'm a suck for baby fluffies. Get over it!

PPS: Please note we haven't yet heard from M. Boobee yet... methinks there's some significance in that...

You can't find any cats in Haiti - but that's 'cause they taste better then dogs.

You would think that the Force fed their cowpoke better than that. What are you doing, Clive? Stashing your grub money and eating cheap so that you can buy a CMP upon return??

I was about to say "I suppose you figgered that out for yerself, eh?", but then it occurred to me to opine "...when they're not eating each other". That last is in terribly bad taste however (nudge nudge wink wink, a nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat, eh?) so I won't say that...

Ah.... good to see you're researching for your next book, Clive! "Chef Law's Exotic Cuisine", or perhaps "The Law of Haute Cuisine"? Hahahahaha!!!! Yeah, that works...

Guess I'd better not tell you about 'Old Retriever Stew'.... but honest, I had to do SOMETHING with my poor Sadie after she was run over - there was just too much good meat there! (here's a clue though... they oughta hang for a while before ya cut 'em up... )

Default Must have been some garage sale.......

.....strange place to shop for pussy Geoff.......

so by his own admission Jif likes little things that are soft and furry......

But look who is talkin' ....... took a lot of convincing to get Joyce to agree but I finally have my own cat house.......

Rob loves them too...... particularly the perfum they leave behind for him.....

.....can't figure out why the cats hate him so much..... they never piss in our canvas garage..... only Rob's.

I will have to pass on more kitties for now....... Joyce gave me one for Xmas.....she would not let me play with hers...... her other cats I mean....

....so I take my little pussy to bed with me everynight..... she actually sleeps on a blanket next to my pillow...... Joyce does not mind..... it keeps me occupied.....

Bottom line Geoff...... if you care enough and love these little creature you can be that bad of a men....... even if you have a preference for green things like See - Em - Pee.

Boobee

Owner of one little pussy and 11 other cats!!!

Ok Boobee, here ya go...

PS: Got lots more pics, but try to get them to keep still long enough! Our one year-old fuzzball is a combo mother/auntie to these... she won't leave them alone! The young'uns are both inveterate explorers/shite-disturbers, so life around here is going to get interesting in short order...

You see, there's an ongoing arms race here between cats and their natural prey, ground Squirrels. Currently, the Squirrels are winning as Dogs have upped the ante somewhat by providing the squirrels with Bazookas. Cats, always ready to change their tactics, and not wanting to be far from their dish of cream have reverted to sniping from cover. Expect further sitreps. Derek.
