The photos in Keiths first post were taken not long after the equipment was stored. Today, most of the vehicles and helicopters are just skeletons or completely removed as they have been stripped for parts.
check out the helicopters as they look today.  This, I understand, is one of the fire fighting helicopters used to fight the Chernobyl reactor fire. Apparently it is still 'mildly hot'.
