Both the jeep thing and the artillery tractor are mounted with No.11 wireless sets. Not typical of either. Testing perhaps? Oh, and the ass end of a carrier in front on the FAT. Another 11 set 'just out of view' I suspect.

re: jeep thingy, can we tell or guess when that photo was taken?
WS11 were in short supply here in Canada and in June 1943 Ottawa requested from London that 200 WS11 sets be sent here for training purposes. I wonder if it's Canadian made or English. |
