			HELLO On every WRECKER WARD LAFRANCE M1A1 serial 5000 there is a little plate which welded on each side of the front bumper. Is any body who can explain the aim of these little plate? |

			... I would say that this is a Swiss post war modification. Your Ward la France has the balance weight attached to the front bumper (these trucks were also used on the airfields to tow planes). I guess your plate is for attaching the Swiss military number plate. I'll have a look if I find some pics. amicalement Chris

			... Cliff, you're correct. I googled a little bit an all pics I've seen have this plate too. Hmm, shame on me    Well, perhabs something is written in the Maintenance Manual TM-9-1796 (23 MB). On page 4 these plates are clearly visible.
