Try the Australian Army Survey Corps (I think they have been absorbed into another corps Engineers, Logistics???). They were based in Albury.
I think they were the main users of these vehicles. They were the only ones I saw operating them in my time in the Army. A bit like amphibious jeeps - when everyone saw them they just had to have one but once they got it they did not know what to use the damn thing for. Lang
