Could you explaine me i have to different canteen holder one the snap button on the top date 1952 for korea and on the snap button is on the side for 1944 WW2

Default Waterbottle Carriers

Sounds to me like you have a 1950s dated 1937 Pattern Waterbottle Carrier with the snaps on the top as opposed to the side, am I correct? What are the markings on your Carrier? Can you post an image?
