What is it?
Mark Sierant sent me some pictures of his new Dodge Weapons Carriers http://www.oldcmp.net/ms_dodge_1.html
Under the seat of one he found this unusual canvas bag and was wondering just what this might have been used for...  Ideas, anyone? Not rude ones, please

But the only replies I can think of when I look at the picture are rude ones
 .....Are there any markings on the underside? As is it definitely P37 type webbing? It COULD even be non-military, found it's way there postwar, you know the story.... Tim

The SECOND thought that crossed my mind (can't share the first one, I am doing this on a school computer!) is that it might be a bag for an immersion heater of some sort.
The color is not right for post-war GI, but it might be right for WWII GI. Bob
