What is it?

Mark Sierant sent me some pictures of his new Dodge Weapons Carriers http://www.oldcmp.net/ms_dodge_1.html

Under the seat of one he found this unusual canvas bag and was wondering just what this might have been used for...

Ideas, anyone?
Not rude ones, please:)

Sorry Keith...

But the only replies I can think of when I look at the picture are rude ones :p .....

Are there any markings on the underside? As is it definitely P37 type webbing? It COULD even be non-military, found it's way there postwar, you know the story....

US -- rude?

The SECOND thought that crossed my mind (can't share the first one, I am doing this on a school computer!) is that it might be a bag for an immersion heater of some sort.

The color is not right for post-war GI, but it might be right for WWII GI.
