I had the same problem first time I drove my carrier out of the shop. Reverse worked great, and while it would go forward, it would almost stall out on a turn. A read of the operators manual fixed it; I was starting out in 4th and then shifting into third. The shift pattern was opposite of a CMP, which is what I was used to.

I'm sure this isn't your problem, but I thought I would share it.

A properly running carrier should be able to start in first gear and spin 180 degrees from a standstill. Looks impressive, but is hard on the roadwheels.
