TJFF on the truck side: Trans Jordan Frontier Force.

Odd looking mount with a Vickers MMG, the forward protrusion appears to be for preventing the weapon being depressed too far and shooting up their own vehicle. It corresponds with the rail across the body. Rifles in the rack are SMLE .303 No.1 Mk.3*. All very British.

Hotel Fast was a popular hotel in Jerusalem. It was owned by a German fellow who showed his pre-war loyalty.

Not only was the flag replaced, but after the owner was "exiled", the Hotel Fast became an Australian R&R facility!!

It is possible that the unknown car in the photo is Crossley. The front suspension has the same pneumatic cylinders as on the Crossley model IGL3.
