Are you looking for what is commonly referred to as the Z arm mount that goes the right had side of the Canadian Military M38A1s?

He is looking for the M31C mount, which in turn would use the cradle like on the M113 and a host of others.

D&L Bessinger has the kits and if they don't export, they will likely post to the border.

Hi Rob....just checking in with the 1919 pedestal mount. Was this a Canadian Standard for the military? I always thought it was just the "Z Arm". Enlighten me please.....Robert

The Z arm did not come in until the 70s, and that was primarily for the light recce militia.

The M31 mount could be used for either the M1919 or the M2HB. They were still kicking around in units long after the Jeeps left the service until the units would either turn them in or throw them away. I never saw one actually installed in a Cdn Jeep while still in service, although I'm sure someone somewhere likely did. Pretty sure trying to use one in Manitoba from late October to about sometime in April woudl result in very severe frostbite to the operator.

Default M31C MG Mount for M38A1CDN

M38A1CDN Jeeps with the M31C mount certainly were an oddity although I managed in 1983 to photograph a Canadian Airborne Regiment example in Petawawa.

Hi Ed. What is the context of this photo? Was it some type of informational display? I cant make out the writing on the sign in front of the jeep.
